About 6 months ago I was approached and asked to play Sally in a production of "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" next year. My answer was a resounding "yes!!!" as I've thought that this is one of the most adorable parts in musical theater since seeing Kristen Chenoweth sing it at the Tony Awards a while back.

The one thing I have noticed the few times that I saw this show was the rather unfortunate costuming for the ladies. I know that grown ups have curves and 5 year olds do not. However, I do not think that the best idea is to create a dress that fits a woman at her widest part and then just make it straight. So I did some research to see what I could find, and yes, there are cute costumes available.

And, here is miss Kristen.

  1. I agree about the costumes for this show! I understand everything has to be super-sized to give the illusion of 'child-like', but if it isn't done right, it looks like poor costume design!
