With the release of Les Mis' theatrical rights for the first time in 27 years, I have been doing research into scenic design for the show without much avail. There isn't much of a precedent set for scenic design for this show because it hasn't been done. However, in my internet wanderings, I have stumbled upon scenic design from a 2008 performace in Adelaide directed and designed by David Lampard. Now this is what I'm talking about... this doesn't look like a Broadway dupe, it's an original idea... and it's much more along the lines of what I was pondering.
